Actually... the whole thing with me going back to the job was kind of weird.
My buddy, who got me the job in the first place, called me and said that they either wanted my resignation in writing or they wanted me back on site today. I took an hour to think about it and decided that maybe going back and dealing with things more rationally would be a good idea.

I didn't get a raise and my only penalty (so far) is that I don't get paid for the two days that I was "quit". It felt nice to have a day without anything on my plate except for revving up for job hunting.

My boss tells me that he's looking at opening a new position in Quality Assurance that will be a regular 9 to 5 type job and he'd like me to take it over I'm still interested in working for the company.

We'll see.
