As the name of the thread implies, I have a question about an Atari 2600. I managed to pick one of these up yesterday while helping clean out a trailer for a yardsale. I managed to not only find the sytem, but a box with every kind of controller and about 15 games. I got it all for free. Anyways, I have a problem. I can't hook it up to my tv's because they are all to new. Does any one know how to adapt an Atari 2600 to work on a newer TV? Thanks.

Hmmm. I think it might be a good idea to go to your local Radio Shack and see what they can do for you. They probably have some kind of adapter. good luck.

I have one of the adaptors you originally had to use for the Atari sytem in my lap right now. you can't use them at all with the newer TVs but if you use one of the RCA type converter boxes you can backward wire the system I did that with my old Turbo graf 16. you will need to daisy Chain alot of wires but it can be done

I would say take the conection that is suppose to attach to the TV up to a Best Buy / Radio Shack and what your TV is also and see if they can manage something for you, best suggestion I can think of unless you want to go to a pawn shop to find an old TV
