Ebay Anime...

Hello all, I am new to this forum and this will be my first post. I am wondering if any of you guys have seen some of the anime that is being auctioned on eBay. Some guys is selling the following DVDs:

Ai Yori Aoshi ep 1-24
Onegai Teacher OVA ( this is newer than the TV series )
Chobits ep 1-24

He is the only person selling them. I didn't even think these anime were out yet he is selling all of them. Did he just use a DVD-writer and copy a VCD onto a DVD?? Just curious.

Which is usually good. Though it's up to you if you want to buy those. No gurantee that they will work in your machine.

Sounds homemade. I just bought all of Dragonball/z/gt/movies and specials and it is pretty good so far it is all about B quality so I can't complain. Big Grin 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Usually a VCD seller will say something like

Chobits 1-26 VCD/DVD - in order to get the people that search for DVDs. Pretty cheap, huh?

True, but if ur dvd player can play vcd's too, then i guess it sorta applies. But if ur gonna buy somebody's homemade stuff, u might as well just dl it. I got all chobits episodes off the net. The fansubs are good, and the picture quality is great too.

That's a chobits dvd set i found on ebay. The seller states clearly that it is made by fans, but also says that he has tested the set on dvd players and ps2's and claims that they work fine. He even claims provisions of nice glossy covers and the such...

I too am currently d/l the Chobits digisubs and the quality is great but if you do not have broadband forget about it . The files are pretty big (170-200 megabytes each episode). Lots of DVD players cannot play DVD-R's and even if they say they can compatability ranges with each brand of DVD-R. I would just wait until AV releases the whole set. I've heard nothing but great reviews about the first volume.

To see if your DVD player is compatible with DVD-R's go to this link :

it depends on the speed you're getting.......

if you're getting like MAX speed.... you can get an ep in like 30 minutes......... but on things like kazaa you NEVER get top speed.....

so it will take anywhere from 1 to 8+ hours
