Where to get non-anime HK DVD's ?

I'm interested in getting Austin Powers Goldmember HK DVD, but haven't the sligtest clue where to get it. The eBay auction are being shut down too fast for me to get to, so I can't go that method... and I don't know where else to.

Any ideas ?

why not just wait for it to come out? the HK dvds aren't gonna be dvd quality anyway..... they'll just be svcd rips or something......

but i'd like to ask ANOTHER version of the main question of this post.....

are there any sites that sell HK subbed kung-fu/action/horror dvds?

You can get subbed Hong Kong movies (DVDs & VCDs) at

http://www.funfunshopping.com/moviestore.htm

They are located in Vancouver and they also sell MI DVDs , I only bought MI DVDs from them twice (gonna get some Hong Kong movies soon). Their Xpress Post shipping is a scam (10 $ US for canadians!!) so I would go with the normal air mail (4.50 $ US - still a scam).

I found this site, but I never order from them. Don't trust sending money oversea. You can give it a try, if you want.

They sell DVD and VCD.

The anime you own, may end up owning you.

Forgot to mention this but if you are in the Toronto area you can get Hong Kong movies on DVD (NTSC encoded) for really cheap, 4 for 25$CDN in those chinese malls they have there. My brother is suppose to came from there on thursday with a bunch of them so I'll see how the quality is.

The most comprehensive site I've ever found for Asian DVDs (non-anime) is http://pokerindustries.com. They're certainly not the cheapest, but they have just about every movie from HK, Japan, Korea, India, Thiland, etc.

You do have to read carefully, though. Some of their discs are PAL format or region coded.

You can find HK movies on DVD in Pacific Mall, the store is in the food court next to hand made noodle shop. Pacific Mall is located in First Markham Place around Woodbine Street and Highway 7 in Markham, theres suppose to be a store that sells anime HKDVDs, I'm not sure about the price but it should be more expensive than the Hong Kong movies.

The DVDs arent the best, some are LD rip I think, if you get new movies quality should be better because the older ones arent remastered or anything. Subs are good and the Chinese movies are dirt cheap. NTSC encoded goes for 4 dvds for 25$CDN. PAL encoded are very cheap, as low as 3$ CDN each and their is a bigger selection but you must watch on your computer or have a PAL dvd player and TV.

There are tons of Chinese places and shopping centres in Toronto so finding bootleg anime and Hong Kong DVDs shouldn't be a problem

To answer the original question of places to buy HK DVDs...

http://www.dddhouse.com is a HK based company that sells DVDs. All their stuff is legit, but still pretty cheap. I know the site looks nasty, but they are reliable and trustworthy, i've used them many times myself (Whisper of the Heart was released yesterday there and my copy is on its way to me now).

For pirate non-anime (or very few anime) DVDs i tend to buy in bulk (50+ at a time to get wholesale discounts) from http://www.deevdee.com. Pretty fast and reliably, although their wholesale prices have recently gone up. ;_;
