Hi everyone. Do some HK anime dvds , especially the r1 rips, have their omake enabled? I have the noir dvds, and I learned that the R1s have omake.

Omake means extra. WHich extras are you talking about in general?

Hi. Omake is an extra feature that is not readily accessible. Theey are hidden, so to speak.
You have to do some sort of combination with your dvd remote control. "animeondvd" website has a digital omake list.

I am just wondering if you guys ever tried looking for those. That will be cool.

IN my experince this realy varies from disc to disc.
I havent seen a set that will keep all of the omake but many do contain some omake.
Also depends on the features. Textless openings and endings often get included, as do art work or production sketches. Ive even seen audio commentaries show up, but ive also seen discs have little if any extras.
