Oh yeah... I found a really neat animation reference that tracks major events in animation from around the globe starting with theories presented in the 1820s. It's kind of neat seeing what was happening in Japan at the same time things were happening in the US and Europe.

Did you check out the listings for Japan this year?
They've got all sorts of stuff listed that I hadn't even heard was in production.
I'm pretty keen to see the new Area 88 TV show they're working on as well as Samurai 7. Does anyone know if these have been fansubbed by anyone yet?

I guess you could almost give 2 awnsers to this one. What helped anime more in Asia. And what helped anime more here in the US
