new 6 disc set Trigun

can anyone give a review on this one?

if this set is the dvd set i seen, then it's great. i think it was AC or some1 else who relesesed it. it came with double dialog (jap/eng).

Are you sure that it was double-dialogue? I have yet to see an HK rip of Trigun that includes the English track. Let me know if you find one!


Anyways, could someone who has watched the entire 6 DVD HK series tell me about the quality of the subs (eng)?

I have heard that the video/audio are R1 rips and they are perfect, but I'm still worried about the subs! There are no reviews (6 DVD ver.) on the main page, but the subs are listed as 4/5 stars while the lesser quality 4 dvd Trigun set was 4 1/2 out of 5 stars for the subs. Did the quality take a nose dive?

Sorry to bump this back to the top, but I would really like to hear from someone that has viewed this box set.

Are the subtitles originals or are they taken from the R1's? Any detailed info about the subtitles would make me a happy camper.

I have this set... for a long time... its 6 dvds and japanese with english or chinese subs... NO ENGLISH DUB..

the subs are pretty good so its worth to get it

I don't really care about the dub because it just doesn't compare to the original Japanese audio, but I just want to make sure the subs are REALLY good.

I'm torn between paying $143 for something that I know is great or $48 for something will just be good. Have you seen the R1 release of Trigun? Are the subtitles the same?

I wouldn't mind a few miss-timings and such, but if the translation is different that may bother me.

Could you give me a few specific examples of problems w/the subs?

just poped it in and it actually IS rip of R1 without the dub... perfect subs and perfect video audio... posted some screenshots for u to see the subtitles

I'll miss the badass menus of the R1 release, but saving 100 is worth it..
