Here some screens for the PS2 game a demo has been release in japan a few weeks ago. The game is being made by Yukes the same game company that made the Dreamcast game and has made also the WWE Smackdown games.

You can view the two trailers at
www.gametrailers.com look at the Alphabetic B section and scroll down to Berserk title.
Oh in the screens it shows the Berserk Armor. So the game takes place during the manga in vol 24 or 25 which is where the troll battle happensup to vol 27 where Guts gets the armor. It's also shown in the shorter trailer verison at gametrailers.com

Blur effects are commonly used by game companies nowadays, since it creates a cinematic effect and particularly for the PS2, hides any aliasing problems quite effectively. I hope Sammy does a good job not only with the graphics, but also with the gameplay and replayability. That and retain the original Japanese voice track when it gets in North America. I'm tired of games, particularly RPGs that leave out the original Japanese voice track, especially when the English dub is inadequate. If more games and anime could have Metal Gear Solid-caliber english voice acting, I'd be quite happy.

Actually you can play it if your PS2 is modded. On
http://www.skullknight.net you can download the demo by bittorent there is a guy their on that site that has allowed people to download it by bittorent just ask him.
Once you download it you have to burn it onto a DVD then just play it on your PS2 again if it's modded.
edit- Just found who it was the guys name is SlimJ87D.

HELL YES! Finally!!!!!!!! The game looks done right.. I just hope the controls are good.
The blood shed is spot on... *starts happy dance and stops playing sword of berserk for DC*

Why wouldn't it, berserk is an incredibly popular anime/manga in the states so it would only be logical ifthey released the game here.
To bad i don't have a ps2... hope the ps3 is backwards compatible!
