i just got a playstation 2 about 3 day's ago and was wondering what i need to do to play import or burned games on it

Well for Import games as far as I know it must be chipped. Burned stuff is probably hit or miss.

You could look on the net how to Mod your PS2 or give one of the guys listed above a PM. They wont mind. Trust me I PM them once in a while to see how they are.

That works! I don't know if you can use a Gameshark to do it like the Dreamcast could. Look that up too!

Ok,
all you need is a gameshark to play games form other countries.

1. boot up the game shark.
2. add new title/game
3. start game (icon)
4. Without codes
5. and then pop open the disk trey and get the game shark cd out
6. and place in the game and press (X)

thats all you have to do if you want to play a game not made for US systems ! easy and simple.

You Dont just need to use a gameshark
(NB must use less than v2.3 because 2.3 and higher dont support the use of copied games)

the best thing to do is get Swap Magic and a slidecard, they dont void your warranty like Chipping does....

NB you dont really need to buy backups, you can actually make em yourself depending on whether you have a CDwriter or DVDwriter
