Hey JJ... how do you feel about a week long road trip for a convention in the deep south? I'm sure there has to be at least a mid sized con in New Olreans. Any excuse to go to that city is worth it.

what does Barksdale specialize in?

Hrm... I've done a lot of searching and was only able to turn up one anime convention in all of Louisiana and it takes place in December. They have a web page at http://www.numareinocon.com/ if anyone wants to have a peek.

Other than that, if the Mr. and Mrs. Schultz don't mind driving north a bit, here are a few good options.
May 21-23, 2004 - Anime North, Toronto, Ontario
May 28-30, 2004 - Anime Mid-Atlantic, Richmond, Va.
June 26-27, 2004 - JAFAX, Allendale, Mich.
July 16-18, 2004 - Northern Anime Festival, Oshawa, Ontario
Sept. 24-26, 2004 - Anime Weekend Atlanta, Vinings, Georgia

Notice there are two in Ontario? There are actually more up here but I'm going to be busy then and I don't want to miss out on your visit if you do come up.

Barksdale AFB is part of the Air Combat Command. We Specialize in B-52s. However, I still am, and will remain, a Chem Warfare Troop!

And Zagatto, we are in Okinawa until June and then, Schultz is off to Technical School from July-October!
We are going to have to find something in October or November if possible.

Aaaahhh. see, you don't know about my alterior motives. The point was to convince everyone to go to Otakon so that I won't have to drive too far. :eek:

And now that you guys found out there's no real cons in Louisiana, I think it's time for you guys to hit that road trip and drive to Baltimore.

Might as well just drive up to Chicago, since there are better things going on up there, and it's closer too

Actually, there is a con in New Orleans in December.
Schultz should be back from course then and everyone can attend.

It will also be nice to get down to the south in December to get away from the cold up here for a few days (even though the real cold won't have started yet).

It sounds like this may be a good con to attend. Not to mention that it's free. Too bad the main draw this past year was the Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh card tournaments.

What does JJ think about the cons?
