Saint Seiya *remastered* new DVDs ??
#1
Hello guys!

Is it possible that some brand new Saint Seiya HK DVDs are going to be released, with video and sound remastered ???

I say that because in Japan, they released SS on DVD (5 boxsets) and they "cleaned" the masters of the series.

Thanks in advance for your answers, and see ya Wink !

pray to the HK gods that they will or you'll have to wait until ADV releases all of them which will probably be like 2-4 years.

MI is usually the one who re-releases titles once new DVD masters come out, like Evangelion. Just hope they rip AS's subs...

Hmm, it doesn't say anything about the picture quality but on the animegod page it does say that MAC has released a new version with fixed subtitles under their AC line I believe Smile

The top two are from AV, the bottom right is AS, and the other two on the bottom I can't tell, the text covers it.

If you find any other pictures, you can tell by...

AV has that same light fade to dark gold DVD logo, usually with a white outer glow.

AS always has that gold one that looks like a piece of metal stuck on the cover.

Sorry but...AV ?? AS:confused: ??? Never heard of them.
And the DVDs' quality ? Same as MI ?

Every quality varies, MI has HORRIBLE releases sometimes, and fantastic other times.

AV, if new, is probably rather good, but they had an old old line which sucked in the subs department. AS usually is bad, but can be fantastic (Berserk, Saint Seiya Gold Collection).

The best way (if there is so review) is to just buy it, and then take the chance! Most likely it will be watchable, so go for it, then post a (detailed) review so others in the same boat as you know whether to get it or not.
