Xbox and PS2 Price drop.

I just noticed that the price dropped for those 2...

instead of 199 its 179USD

in canada instead of 299CAD its 249 (which is actually cheapter than 179 if converted to CAD)

time to stock up on extra consoles hehe

The price to PS2 dropped even lower yesterday. Now it is $149.99 USD. I was there when the recieved the call, but who knows how long it will last so run out there and get one. :wink:

Ok look I will post the url from home *because it is a gaming site I can't do it from work* anyways the only reason it dropped is because Sony is trying to get rid of them. Next month they are putting up a new PS2 with a progrssive scan DVD player and a built in Hard drive and it will retail for you guessed $200 bucks.

Save your money JJ oh and Kakoi... that might be your store Sony's offical only dropped $25 same with the Xbox.

Now I wonder will we see a GC drop most likely not but it would be cool...

I'm surprised that they would drop them already. I wasn't expecting a price drop until about September. When X-box hits $150 it's mine! :mrgreen:

morgorath, PS2 with Hard Drive, I heard nothing about it.... I would have thought that those rumors would have been out prior to PS3 so.... where did u hear about that? cause why would ps2 release something new so close to ps3 launch?

also, isnt GameCube getting an upgrade or something?

oh and u guys hear about the Sony's portable "gameboy" that was unvailed at E3... how many system to I have to own and watch them become obsolete ~_~ thank god my xbox with 120gig hard drive is "da bomb"

modded with a switch so I play Xbox Live on it no problems.... heh and Phantasy Star Online is hackable online ^_^ wanna see level 1 with maxed out stats and bad ass weapons that can walk through walls? hehe

so PS2 is NOT getting a HD... just a build in remote control thingie....

as for gamecube.... only new thing is it will come with an item that will be sold separtely anyways.... so in both cases... nothing major happens in either case... i still think that customers who take advantage of this price drop and get an Xbox will be better off in the long run ;p... since PS3 gonna hit stores soon (xbox2 will be late so xbox1 will last longer)

Ps3 won't be out for a long while.. (2005 if they even make there projected date which i don't think any company has.) They have released minimal specs on it.. Stuff about using a Grid processor and how even DDR-II when it comes out won't be fast enough.

And i know nintendo is wanting to get there next gen system out before any of the other copetitors do.. and wow Xbox 2 instead of a Intel Processor we are going to be getting and AMD.. can't wait till they over heat and burn the mb and processor. bah screw micro$hit and there shitty attempt at a game console system.

And Morg you might wanna reword that.. Sony is going to offer services like Xbox Live with central server etc.. Not a version of Xbox live for Ps2 that would mean ps2 could play on Micro$hit's server and i doubt they would want that.
