You do if you're renting DVD's since I hardly think he's just going to be able to download any movie he wants to watch from the internet. As for the Xbox, you're probably right and I got my game systems mixed up... may have been the Nintendo's.... seems my brain is elsewheres these days. As for the subtitles, that's what this thread is about... there isn't much you can do to change the placement of the subtitles on fansubs, regardless of how it is re-encoded to DVDR's... I know, we've tried everything... but for the most part fansubs now aren't as bad about it as earlier ones because they are using newer encoding methods. But then they are fansubs, so I guess we really shouldn't be bitching about them to begin with... and if we want perfect subtitles, we should buy the R1's!!
