Okay here?s what I got so far from looking at newegg.com items for my build computer any suggestions if the parts are good or crap then please do tell me because seriously guys I have no freaking clue what I?m buying.

Cpu: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 512k, L2 Cache Socket+ 939 $272

Memory: Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed series 184 Pin 512 MB DDR PC-3200- OEM. $98.75

Motherboard: $120 MSI lol forgot the description I?ll look for it later.

Video Card: Rosewill Radeon 9600 Video Card, 256 MB DDR, 128-Bit, DVI/TV- out, 8X AGP, Model ?RW9600- 256 D? $88.50

Fan/Heatsink: I have no idea um I saw a good one for 50 bucks??

Hard drive: Samsung 160 GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive, Model sp1614N10 $89.50

DVD/CD Burner: Eh uh? I saw a good one for 80 bucks Which can burn 16x.

Anything one have any comments anything lol I?m forgetting. I think my uncle can get the slip cases I think that?s what there called right?? So far $867.50 total w/tax a bit too high anything I can cut back on you know something a "bit" cheapter maybe by 10 to 15 bucks cut back on a few items?

For the Hard Drive, get an SATA HD (as I stated already). I also reccomend Maxtor over Samsung. Here's the HD I reccomend:

For the video card, get a 9600 Pro, at least. $16 more and the performance is above and beyond:

For the 3500+, look for the retail version:

For the DVD burner, I think this is supposed to be one of the best that are out now:

If you want to cut back, get a slower processor (>$100 difference) and some different memory. Crucial is expensive and their XMS line is even more expensive than their regular brand. One would say you may want to scale back on HD space, however, that's nickles and dimes. Going down to 120 gigs would only produce a $10 savings. I think 40 gigs is worth $10 :p
