I don't go past the first page either...I only read the posts marked as Unread...

I usually don't either. I didn't start many threads when I first joined. I would just chime in on some existing thread, but never went past the first page to find stuff to post in. After a few weeks, you realize/remember what has been posted and what hasn't. Then you can start creating your own threads.
