I think it's more like the Geneon / Pioneer titles that are being sold for $30 (at the SRP), probably due to the fact that their wholesale costs are higher than other companies like ADV, which generally stock their new titles for around $20 each.

Speaking of which, last year at a Best Buy (all my local ones, in fact), they were selling the 6th and final Fancy Lala DVD (a Bandai title, distributed by Pioneer) for $40, $10 over the SRP.
