1)'Kodomo no omocha' anime has more stories than Kodomo no omocha manga. Try the anime. I've watched the entire anime series twice.

2)'Hana yori dango'. There is a Hana yori dango anime but it covers very little of the actual manga. Manga is still going but will finish this year (because the magazine release anime has published the end of the Hana yori dango). Nonetheless, the anime captures the mood of the manga very well. (current is vol35)

3)I've read 'Angel Santuary' manga is also a popular series. I've never read it myself. This manga has been completed.


4)'Fruit basket' (furuutsu basuketto) manga is another popular series. Jap version is still goin (current is vol12).

5)'Kareshi Kanojo no Jijyo' manga is a popular series. Jap version is still goin (current is vol17)
