why do some ppl like their anime dubbed?
#20
I have tried to watch dubbed anime before, but I always end up switching back to the Japanese track after a few minutes. It REALLY is not the same!

I still contend that a lot is lost in the dub, especially emotions. Japanese voice actors are wonderful at expressing joy, anger, sadness, etc, in their voice depictions. I really can't say the same for English voice actors. Often times a scene is supposed to project certain tension, anger, joy in the atmosphere, which you can tell by the tone of the voices, but English dubs, most often end up missing all if not most of the feeling that was supposed to be projected.

Perhaps I am just being picky....
