HK stands for hong kong, it seams like you do not know what you have stumbled onto my friend. HK anime, anime made in hong kong, you might call it bootleg. and since it is bootleg it is much much cheaper. just take for example, cowboy bebop, the R1s( R1 is short for reagon one, basically just the kind of dvds that you would buy in your local store) cost about $30 per discs for 6 discs, coming to $180, where as the HK bebop set which is almost the same quality is only $30, look at the faq in the anime disscussion or go to www.arcticnightfall.com for more info.
