Is there anything good coming out in the anime world?

I just watched the first episode of Initial D 4th Stage. The CG was very nicely done and the suspense is still there.

The fansub of it came out yesterday by Live-Evil. Raws for episode 2 are out also so it won't be too long before it gets released.

Just a warning, a bunch of idiots known as fob2k4 released the 1st episode as a prank and they made up their own lines for their release and included a bunch of nonsense.

Having watched the first episode of Initial D: 4th Stage, I must say I'm very impressed with the animation. Not only have they managed to blend the CG cars and digitally rendered characters quite seamlessly, but they've managed to reasonable retain the manga look of the characters, without making them a turn off to casual viewers. I like the cel-shading for the CG cars, but I'm hoping the action will resemble more of First Stage, with all the drive-by drifting shots, instead of all the in-car and car-following shots of Second Stage, which sometimes made it look like none of the cars are drifting, when often they are. The battle music still sounds like Eurobeat, but whether it'll always be like this is unsure. The OP and ED are very cool, although I originally expected the ED song to be used for the OP (as did most people). Very impressed.

Have you seen Bastard!, buffgod? It is a short series i found a little similar to Berserk.

I'm currently watching Detective Academy Q & Uninhabited Planet Survival on fansubs, loving both of them. Smile

I love the ending theme. The girl in it is HOT.

Damn that sucks. The fansubs will probably start appearing in other p2p networks soon if not already. I've seen it on DC++ and I'm sure you can find it on IRC.

If you still can't download it AV has released or will be very soon the 1st volume of Project D and it contains a whole 2 episodes.

Unfortunately, all of those alternative networks are also blocked. I am so glad that I'm graduating in a month.

Well according to Kakkoi there is discussion of a HellBoy anime. Look into it.
- The Original Lord Of Darkness -
"Ahh The Murthless Laugh of the Damned"

That's only Del Toro discussing with Gonzo about making one. There's only the possibility of a Hellboy anime, so don't expect to see it anytime soon.

To answer the original post---'Yumeria' would be a great choice.
Another good one would be 'Diamond Dust Drops'. I liked it for the mood. (not for everyone...)
I also recommend 'Bakuretsu Tenshi' and 'Maburaho'.

Love is like heaven but hurts like hell.
