Does anyone know a good site for news about upcoming HK dvds

I haven't had that yet. I do fear it though, but I had already had tapes degrade in quality. So I guess it is an okay trade off. How long did you own the DVD before the rot kicked in? :?

It already had dvd rot when I bought it, that what happens when you pay 3$ for a brand new bootleg HK movie DVD. I bought 12, one had dvd rot, another one doesnt read well and 2 have major audio sync problems

It means it won't play anymore. I'm pretty sure the media on the disk gets some sort of mold or something. :? :? :?

DVD rot is when the glue that holds both layers start rotting, you can see white patches on the DVD when it happens, the companies refuse to say that its a problem but it is. Doesnt happen to often though, keep your dvds in a dry and cool place and you wont have a problem

Actually I think it is when the media loses it's stick. I think it has something to do with the adhesive they use.

I need to go buy a DVD rom. I also need to buy a new computer to go along with it.

I still haven't been able to watch all of that glorious stuff you gave me. My com sucks too much, but I went to Darks house today, and watched Wolf's Rain. Very good. I also watched the first two episodes of X with him. Very good.

I've got up to episode 4 now, I think the fansubs are at 6 now and so is the show in Japan. These fansubbers are fast these days, they can release an episode a day or two after it was aired in Japan.

The Macross Zero episode I sent you has incredible quality, perfect DVD rip.

Hmm, how fast is your computer, I used to watch fansubs on my 300 celeron without too much of a problem.

Make sure you install the XVID codecs and ffdshow if you watch the Macross episode, and use BS pplayer. It will look great, trust me. I encoded it to SVCD, meaning it loss a bit of quality and watched it on my TV, my brother thought it was a dvd.
