This might help....
Mages get one Magic ability Level 1 costing 2 TP imean mp...whatever....
and a second one Level 2 costing 3mp
Fighters get one SKILL...level1 costing 3mp
and get two specials one costing 2 mp and the second 4mp
You should also get to shop before fighting
Mages have one special costing 3mp
you can set damage values to these and or healing values what not....
Fighters have skill
ok sounds great, but can you run that by me again in detail because that makes me have to change alot of things in the rules for instance, should a mage and a fighter still progress with seperate MP paths since the fighter will now need more mp too?

MAGE..............
TP starts at 10
HP starts at 10
Attack starts at 5
Defense starts at 3
Magic start with two level 1 abilities
If it is an attack it does 4 damage at a cost of 2 points
If it heals, it does 4 HP for cost of 2 points
Mages should get ONE Special to start with, Damage at 7, costing 5 points.
FIGHTER............
TP: starts at 5
HP: starts at 15
Attack starts at 6
Defense Starts at 3
Magic starts with ONE level 1 ability, damage is 4 costing 3
if it is a healing spell it should heal 4 costing 3
Fighters should have more specials for cheaper than mages...
2 level 1 specials, one damages for 7 costing 3
the next damaging at 8 costing 5
get where I'm going with this?
Types of magic should be like this....
Lvl1 Attack magic....Damage 4
Lvl1 Heal magic....HP + 4
Lvl1 Defense Magic....DP + 1, duration: 4 rounds
Lvl1 Poison....Damage of 1 point per turn for 3 rounds
Lvl1 Regen...HP + 1 point per turn for 5 rounds
Lvl 1 Mana UP!...MP + 1 point per turn for 3 rounds
All status effects should "activate" at the beggining of each turn. As you said, you always gain 1mp per turn at the start of it so this should apply to ALL!

ok...I added to it, I will probably do some more in the near future but for now I will have to sign out...... it would be a lot eisier if there was a seperate section for this and you made a new thread for every bout, but I doubt that JJ or shultz will allow me to do that. :mrgreen:

I also think that there should be a point system for leveling up. When you level up EVERY stat should go up by one point as well as have additional points for yourself to add to any stat you want. Like in Diablo. You can divvy up the points between the stats or just give them all to one in particular. I think 12 is a good number to use for this idea. SO NOW! You get 1 point for all your stats when you level up and 12 more to divide up as well.

I just looked at your updated rules and forgot you already had a level up system...oops. You don't have to use my idea unless you really want to.
its alright I like yours better anyhow... I just uptaded it again with an improved store section. hmmmmm.... do you think I should ask shultz if I can have my own section for this? that way it would be a lot more organized. :mrgreen:
