I agree - I think it's the best thing he's ever done.

I just love the beat for it. That is one badass beat he came up with.

They need to start playing it again on some music station like it's new and it should win something for best new artist. It's that sweet.

Rav96, I've never touched a drum set muchless know how to play one. I'm slowly learning to read music about this time, & if I feel that I'm able to actually play then I'll buy a cheap set. As it stands my hand domination keeps me from playing a guitar, & I can't sing, but I want to be in a band, write lyrics, & the sort so much that if I have to drums is what I'll play.
I can't carry a tune in a bucket, nor a beat, but according to Ben I don't have to be able to. He's on the drum line & says he had the same problems as me when he started learning to play.
But, maybe one day I'll actually be able to talk to you as one of your drummer peers or so I hope.
As for the Sex Pistols, I must say they are excelent, but I've never really been into their music, just Anarchy in the UK.
Alkaline Trio is undoubtible good, but once again, I don't listen to much of their stuff.
I've tried many many many times to list all the bands I love, but there's probably over 200 (98% being "punk" bands) of them, so I can't exactly get them all in one swoop, but as I've started my taste don't stop at the "non-mainstream" stuff, I love Aqua, & enjoy quite a few well known bands.
I'd list a few, but well, I've got to get outta here now.
Peace Out everyone.

Oh and Batz Kage.. dunni you worry its hard when you start out. i remember how shit i was when i first started bout 2yrs ago!
damn meg from the white stripes could pull 360's around me in those days and shes one of the shittest drummers to date!
Hang in there!
DRUMMERS ARE UNSUNG HEROES!
DRUMMING IS HARDWORK AND EXHAUSTING UNLIKE PANSY ASS VOCALS,GUITARS AND BASS (Of which i can play both but i'm better at base)
NOTE Drummers are always in the background, you'll never get any lime light unless you start of gigs witha hardcore rip then you may get some Rock Punches in youre favour! So if you wanna get chicks (and admit it who doesn't) this aint the direction to go!
But if you wanna ROCK Then DRUM away my friend!
Listing bands you like can be a Huge task let alone pigeon holing their "genres". I dont really bother its just the one like Alkaline Trio and Blink182 who i've met in real life. have an extra place in my Rock Soul!
NB Less than Jake are assholes- they are so rude i felt like bitch slappin them all... though they are meant to be nice (my big fat UK ARSE)

That was anotehr thing I was worried about with be a drummer. I don't like taking back seat to the people I have to inturn drag the weight of. In other words, I'll be writting the lyrics they sing, taking care of all paper work, & making sure the band is organized, then I'll sit down in the shadows, & no one will care who I am. As for getting chicks from being in a band, I don't have a problem there, or better put, just ain't looking for any. I'm not gay, but it's just a REALLY long story, & the guys around here don't like to here about my personaly life.
Anyways, if I actually pick up of druming it'll likely be over the summer seeing as how by then I'll be old enough to have a job, therefore can buy a set, any suggestion on a cheap, yet decent set to go with?

Unless you're Dave Grohl
Oh and I must say that Rage Against The Machine is FREKIN' SWEET! That's where my sig...-Calm Like A Bomb-...comes from.

yes playin drums is probably harder to pick up that guitar and definately bass but the main reasons drums arent appreciated much is because writing drum beats is a mere novelty and almost require no talent other than the ability to play drums averagely. on the other hand writing music requires talent, natural or developed, and id never ever call any drums genius but plenty of songs are (ie the beatles).
btw dont mean to offend any drummers out there, this is merely my opinion

Hey, dude, calm down. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion, discuss your differances in a civilived manner. Don't just sit there and scream, "WTF"! Back up your disargeement.
Personnelly, I agree with Rav96, it takes a lot of energy to be a drummer. I can't work a sweat up like that just singing! Unless of course I'm doing cartwheels or something across the stage (not likely)!

wow you took that statement way out of context, anyway drums are not that bad when you are use to them. actually its pretty damn boring after a while. also i didnt make an opinion i made a statement and there is no reason to back it up. i could if i wanted to rant for a good couple hours. and yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion and i respect that. heh. so put down the peace pipe before you hurt somebody.

If we don't stop fighting I will PERSONALLY ASK THIS THREAD TO BE LOCKED!!!!! This isn't going to turn into an AnimeInMe thread. He started all that crap hisself in his own thread. We're not going to fight in mine when there is no reason to. Anyone starts another ARGUMENT in here and I will ask JJ or Schultz to lock this in no time. I've done it before and will do it again. Stop your arguing now!

bass can be a hard instrument, look at primus and les claypool the 3rd!
i appreciate that drums arent a walk over cause im pretty shit at them myself but i dont play them properly.
and lets all remember what brought us together in this thread, the fact that justin timberlake is a twat.
(btw rav96 i added the pillows (flcl) to your punktastic website)
