a link ot the reading..
or go to http://www.doom9.org and search for Canada

In my country there's a big lawsuit going on about our MPAA having a bunch of ip-adresses of people who upload alot of music and they want their names and adresses from the internet providers. But since our MPAA is a private orginasation (looking after the rights of media companies) they are not entitled to that info because of privacy reasons. Now they are demanding the info in court. Very interesting to see what will come out of this especially since I think our country is like a free for all in hosting torrent sites, p2p sites and newsgroups.

I don't know the situation in the US but if its the same with the privacy thing it might take some time before they can get your adress. Probably the same with dvd-master. They have your ip but not your name and adress (or atleast I hope so Big Grin )

Are you an idiot? Do you even know what Kazaa Lite is? It's 'lite' because it isn't bundled with spyware and actually has MORE features... Not that i'd recommend using any form of Kazaa...

Schultz, thanks for pointing me towards the articles on Bill C-60. Somehow they had managed to slip under my radar.

At this point, Bill C-60 has only been introduced and not yet passed into law. It still has several hurdles to leap before it will be something enforceable. I have added it to the list of new items I track. I am interested to see how the final bill ends up passing after all the revisions that will be made to it in the coming months.

My Soul Brings Tears to Satanic Eyes.

If Max Collins, Matt Skiba, Jimmy Urine, & Mark Phillips had a child it would be one fu*ked up mofo, but 'it' would be the God of music.
