No one ever wants to accpet blame, it is a problem we see in every aspect of life. If it be politics, consumer product makers when something breaks or be it parents. No one wants to be branded as an average to bad parent. For the Japanese culture for example that would not only be an insult to the person but to the entire family. So in response the parents find some reason they can use to deflect blame from themselves
