Well I'd buy some manga and figurines but they are high priced and most of there stuff is hentai in nature... more of a porn store then an anime store. Plus the shipping is higher then a cat's back. Your better off trying to find someone in the U.S. who sells what you want that is anime related. If it is manga you want well just hop on over to http://www.amazon.co.jp they have a english checkout and cheap shipping compared to Mandarake

I've been to their physical store in LA (ironically on the day before it closed) and they're very helpful. Their HKs are expensive as hell, but its not like you're going there for those.

They only LIST hentai/yaoi titles on the site, but email them asking about series (i.e. "What Kindaichi mangas do you have"?) and they'll email you back with their stock for that title, with which you can then order.

I've never ordered from them before online, but they are a well-known store in Japan so I doubt you'll have any problems.

They sell HKs at Mandarake? I thought they old sold region 1 and 2's and LDs. I know Anime Jungle in both LA and Japan only have region 2s and LDs plus some manga.

By the way all stuff from Amazon Japan is all new unless you buy from an Amazon Members shop.

They had a few sets, but the only one I clearly remember was MI's old (terrible) Fushigi Yuugi sets, which were priced at around $50 per set. The LA branch is closed now, and the other branched might be more careful of what they sell.

To be honest, I think only the LA location of Mandarake sold HKs -- I don't think they would get away with it in Japan.

http://www.sasugabooks.com/
It's an online Japanese book store based near Boston. It even has untranslated manga.

Besides, online purchasing... it's open to the public on Saturday's. I was going to go yesterday, but the group I was with didn't have enough time.. though we all wanted to go.
