Bilingual Manga!?!?!?

OMG!!!

I was looking around at http://www.animaxis.com and found bilingual manga!!!!!!! Does anyone know if it is just like 2 books in one? like theres a volume and english and a volume in japanese in the back?

nah i think it has something like a clear plastic page that goes in between the regular pages, and the clear plastic pages have dialogue boxes in english that cover the japanese ones

Most of the bilingual books done by Kodansha have the japanese and the english on the same page. They are kind of jumbled.

now thats gotta be confusing!

stick to translated ones if you ask me

BUT beware "mirror image" translations

i loathe them with a passion!

(eg GITS2 mirror image by Dark Horse ahhhhh)

Well, they are like english mangas. There is english dialogue in the text bubbles, and there is Japanese dialogue off to the sides. So it's like someone took an English manga and added Japanese translations in the margins.

They are very easy to read, good translations, and VERY high quality. I would definantly reccomend one.

They aren't confusing at all and some titles are not available in english otherwise. I highly recommend them.
