Golden Age of Anime

There is always something huge on the horizon for anime, we just have to wait for it.

Manga is a lot cheaper than anime.

Another reason for the 80's being the golden age. The transforming robot genre. My favorite Super Bestial Machine God Dancougar deserves a DVD release, damn you Software Sculptors, finish it on a good note. Sad

That would just be dumb. You can't exactly "rip" a book onto some pages. It would still be the same price. Paper and ink cost. Not exactly the same as a dvd-r. OH I'm sure they could do something to make it cost LESS but it wouldn't be worht the time and effort. You might be able to get a book for a dollar less but it is still a fairly pointless idea to attempt. Stick with HK DVD!!!

But as they say, don't blame them for not trying -- there are reports of some boots of Japanese anime books, mostly art books, hitting the stands, mostly at flea markets (where I found some) and other places where HK videos are commonly sold. The quality of these boot books are less than the real McCoy.

true, one volume of manga costs less than one volume of anime, but it doesnt take me too long to read one volume of manga, so I find it expensive for what I get.

Ahhhhhhh try buying real R1's. Like at Best Buy or a comic bookstore. Or better yet Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku VHS from VIZ. Ofcourse an HK set of 26 episodes should take you longer to view than reading 190 pages of a graphic novel. No shit sherlock.

If the Manga takes you longer, please consider hooked on phonics.

no, I am not saying that it is more expensive than R1 anime. just saying that it doesnt match up to the prices of HK anime.

manga is definately more expensive for me. your average volume of say dbz or 3x3 eyes is like £11.99 which is about $20 in my local and only comic store, ordering online would cost about the same due to shipping. this sucks, but hk anime is cheaper, it requires less effort to watch than read and it lasts longer than 20 mins. so looks like ill stick to that then

That always pisses me off. If you look at the back of Dragonball the price in yen should be around $4.00 USD. They claim the extra money is going into thier translation. I don't even want to think about VIZ right now. Confusedweatdrop: Confusedweatdrop: Confusedweatdrop:
