i quote a friend of mine who has been traveling the world is in Brazil and has been there for the past coupla months heres a quote from one of his emails

" 2 weeks Learning Spanish, only to find that
they don't speak it. even though they are surrounded
by 6 Spanish speaking nations"

Couldn't he have found that out before going to Brazil? hahaha! Big Grin Portuguese and Spanish have a lot of similarities but Portuguese is known to be a very hard to learn language, much harder than Spanish. Even we Portuguese think it's a tricky language.

Did I by any chance tell you to go right now? To drop everything you were doing and just go? No! I just told you to go, not when! I know you're busy with school right now, so am I. But that doesn't mean you can't eventually go, when you have the time.
NY is always an option to consider but in Brasil you have the shiny sun (you're always complaining there's no sunshine in England), beaches, hot women wearing very little or nothing and promiscuous sex. Big Grin

Yup, I'm doing fairly well, Andromeda! It's rather nice over here. I go swimming and play volleyball just about every night. I'll be able to go off base soon with some of my British RAF friends, I need to charge my camera for that!
