I never got that whole 'sex can damage kids at a young age' thing... I mean it is built in to us from birth so I dont see how seeing sex can warp you... If they see it and get told what it is it cant do much else to them can it?

Well, I guess you'd have to have been there to know. Women behind windows only wearing very small seethrough panties, some are constantly feeling themselfs up to attract customers. Besides that there's sex shops, porn theaters, stip bars and other related stuff on every corner. Yeah, real disney world :p
But mind you that's just a small section of the city. There's lots of other stuff for your parents to do while your checking it out

Sex such a sorted subject in America. But in Europe it is really laid back compared to america standers. Now some strict Middle Eastern countries a woman showing her face is a crime, like stealing. Now I am not saying any way is the right way. I just have come to realise that it is jobs as parents to teach a middle ground to are children that is respectful to all.

Ah, there are some many things I could say to one-up that (which is actually sad), but will keep them to myself.
And those parties in South America sound choice. I'll definitely have to make it down there before I'm like 40 or something.

You can't possibly compare Portugal to Holland! Compared to Elcoholic's home country mine can actually be called conservative. But we've come a long away, after all we lived (well not we, I wasn't even born back then :p ) under a dictatorship for over 50 years and it only ended 31 years ago. We have the same sort of liberal ideas that thrive throughout western Europe but Holland is years ahead of us. In my perspective it's actually the most liberal country in the world.

Well, it's pretty cheap going there, you don't really need to wait till you're 40 or anything like it. Of course I'm talking about how much it costs to go from here to Brazil but Portugal is in a different continent and the USA aren't so I don't suppose it's very expensive going from there to Brazil either. With about $1300 two people can go to Brazil for a week, all expenses included. Not to mention Brazil is a poor country. If for a Portuguese life there is cheap then for an American it's practicaly for free.
