wow, i haven't been to this site in such a long time, perhaps two years or so......wow, sucks for JJ, he was a cool guy. Hope he finishes school as a doctor so he can afford the $50K in his legal fees.

I haven't been here in years either. Hate to see that happen. Big fan of the site and people. Good luck in the future.

Not much really. JJ is still doing what he has been doing. working for his parents and attempting to go to school when he can. Been talking to him about what to do with i-a.com too.

Ya it would be sad to see it go but people come here so rarely anymore it seems silly to keep it open. The review section is still nice for hk buyers though. I hardly ever buy anime anymore personally though, i'm getting into blu-ray and converting my dvd collection slowly. Takin up all my anime money.

Off Topic.. God i hate Blu-ray and its sad to see that shitty format win. More expensive to produce. Less consumer friendly(BD+ and region coding). and last but not least early edition players won't play new blu-ray discs coming out. Already Class action lawsuit about that since most all players our right now won't play profile 2.0 stuff. Since features are missing that are mandatory for 2.0. And all the great blu-ray deals are going to go bye bye when HD-DVD goes under. No more incentive to push it cheaper.

I use a ps3 so I havn't run into any problems personally. I love it so far. A lot of movies are huge upgrades in picture quality. Just watched my kingdom of heaven tonight. Amazing pq. Amazons having a b2g1 free sale right now for bluray, and hddvd has essentially gone under already. Reliable sites are reporting toshiba is going to make making bluray very soon, which means paramount and universal will begin making bluray discs too. As it's more widely used the prices will come down too just like dvds did way back when. For now i'm content looking for deals.

Ya toshiba just announced it. You are lucky the PS3 is the only future proof Blu-ray player on the market now. But now you will start to see those b2g1 free sales gone. Cheap pricing for everything gone. incentives for you to purchase blu-rays gone. Since HD-DVD is dead. And in the end consumer's loose out again.

I love my ps3.

i tooo love me PS3 AND ATLEAST 1.1 GOT PIP which i was annoyed with compred to HDDVD and the quality should improve now aswell as they will take advanatge of the extra space instaed of the Bluerays literally being the same content as the HDDVD version in alot of the movies...with SD extra and not HD ones coz of the lack of room....pity about peops whove bought normal BLUray players but ive got a PS3 so Wo0t FutureProof

Well most of the movies were not copy's of HD's since only a few company's put them on both formats. In truth blu-ray was released about 1 year too early. as now the 2.0 profile is finally catching up to what the HD-DVD could do. And all that space isn't / wont' be needed when using h264 codec instead of the mpeg2. Also you will miss HD-DVD when blu-ray starts jacking you for prices. And no more sales for which people could take advantage of. Also in the numbers the attach rate for discs to players sucked for blu-ray so i can see it is still going to take a while for any type of adoption even with HD-DVD gone. Like i said. consumer's is the ones to truly loose in this.

I haven't been here for a long time, very busy with getting back up after a burnout and all. That keeps you occupied. Haven't been watching anime for a while so kinda forgot about this scene. Might want to catch up on Naruto if they stopped the damn fillers already.

yup i am still serving in the Air Force weird to think i am going on 10 years this year. man how time fly's. We are still trying to get outta this place that we are stuck in for the last 3 years. man does it suck here. Nice to see few people popping up.!

What games do you have on the ps3? The only other game I have is resistance. The ps3 is incredibly stupid compared to the 360 because it does friends lists game by game instead of having a centralized friends list like the 360 does. Even most ps3 fanboys admit that was an incredibly stupid decision.

yeah never thought of it that way schultz it does seem abit urgh interms of price, oh well DVD was pricey way back when and now cheap as chips, and lol on me PS3 ive got COD4 coz that rules, virtuafighter (no online though , tekken dark ress///wo0t online kik ass, warhawk again online kickass, Stranglehold coz its the sequal to hardbolied and blowing everything up is fun esp to unwind, Ratchet and Clank...well impressed with its visuals and fun to play amd DMC4 which i must say is not as good as i thought it'd be still kicks ass though jus too much like DMC3

anyway im rav96 (well my UK id hehehe) so add me and yeah it sucks that its not like the x360 with friends lists....hopefully that will be sorted in an update
