Kenshin may be the next HK set I buy. It looks like it is pretty long and it is over with so there won't be any big badass cliffhanger like all this other stuff I am watching. 8O 8O

Being only 95/96 episodes long Kenshin is not a bad investment, but
stay away from the last OVA, it will ruin it all for you....
wait what am I saying the last OVa doesn't exsit does it Schultz....
wait my memory is being wiped... why do I feel the need to buy
"Blue Gender it has three episodes that is a great deal" *in a dull drone voice* :o :o :o

I remember when I thought getting four episodes on DVD was a great deal. Damn. I wasted so much money. 8O 8O 8O 8O

I'm just glad that there was only 3 or 4 things I was into when I wasted my money on American dvds. Let's see...
The first Lodoss War
Getter Robo
Nadesico
Street Fighter 2V
Some Dragon Ball
Geo Armor
Gokudo
Trigun
That's about all the AMERICAN DVD series' I have plus the hand full of movies I have so there is no real loss. After Christmas I will own every series I have been drooling over for the past few months and buy box sets to the ones I have partially completed here in the states.

I wasted so much on R1s. It is deppressing to think about it too much. 8O  8O 8O 8O 8O

and you only got about 60$ for it all at the trading place.

I still have the majority of my R1s. They did screw me on the R1s I brought in though. Like 7 DVDs perfect condition $35!! It was an insult, but I didn't want to keep them. Still it was quite bastardized.
10-27-2002, 11:28 PM
They could have at least given you a reach around. 8O
10-27-2002, 11:39 PM
No most definetly not. There will be no reach around action for me. 8O 8O 8O 8O

Yeah R1's raped me in the ass good. I can't think about how much I've spent on Urusei Yatsura.

Hey I am in full agreement that we are getting the shaft on R1's here in America, but has anyone seen the prices of DVD's here in Japan...? I mean damn there almost 4000 yen that's 34 dollars on a good exchange rate. And ask Schultz about VHS if you think there cheaper you wrong on most accounts. he saw a few DBZ going for 2400 yen a pop used and 2 episodes each now that's getting the shaft sideways. but still were getting bent over and no reach around is inexcusable.

Well I agree we have it decent. Though Funimation pisses me off. Why cut Hakusho down from 4 episodes to 3. What a bunch of assholes. Same with VIZ. Yeah 3 episodes of Inu Yasha for $25. No don't worry we don't mind when it's an 80+ episode series. Bastards!!!!

R2's are worse..... much worse especially when you don't live in japan and have to order them. UGG. They tack on like another thirty dollars, but there is no excuse for either on usa of nihon to rape us as much as the do. bastards. 8O 8O 8O

I bet if a company decided to do a "for the fans campaign" and released cheaper DVDs (like $20 instead of $30) or a higher episode count then their sales would increase.
