I owned and watched the AV set of Hunter X Hunter eps 1-26. Loved the series so I wanted more. THe subs were not too great but understandable. The main problem was the timing.
I just got the MI sets for the rest and boy are the subs awfull! I don't know if I will even continue watching. Timing is on but you can barely understand what they are talking about. Does anyone know of a set other than MI that has decent subs for Hunter after ep. 26?

Can anyone with the AV set of Hunter X Hunter for episode 27 and above compare these subs from my MI set to the AV episode? I love this series and would like to know if I should sell my MI set and get the AV set since the subs are pretty bad on the MI set. Here are the first 14 lines from episode 27....

Yeah me too. I got the AV set for 1-26. It had VHS audio and engrishy HK subs. However, the subs were very understandable and flowed well. Then, I read some reviews that the MI set was better through the entire sries I switched to that. Keep in mind I have not seen the AV set for 27-52 so the MI set may still be better
. However, if the AV set at least continues the same average to low quality subs accross the higher episodes I would prefer those even with the VHS video.

Yeah, I'm lost. VHS quality doesn't bother me, because I've bought crappy EP fansubs off ebay plenty of times. :mrgreen:
