So here's a response that someone just posted to basically the same question in another forum. "I think this is due to the fact that Animeigo, the R1/2/4 owners of the OAVs, doesn't take sushis lightly. As a matter of fact, they have an especially-tight grip on the "Urusei Yatsura" TV series, in which they're unwilling to sell to anyone outside the US or Canada, or to anyone would would sell them to anyone outside the US or Canada. As a result, the only sushi Godeess OAVs are the AS versions, which were sourced from the original Japanese videotape." Hopefully that will help clear up some of your questions. |
