For Gundam at least check out Gundam Wing. That is all the Gundam series I have even remotely watched. I understood everything. They are all linked somehow, but you can get a very enjoyable watch out of it. Even more, I hear the Gundam Wing HK set rocks.

In Hk anime probably around $300 and in r1s about $500, so overall not too bad. Hk anime in the end I think helps because now I can watch Maison Ikkoku without selling a kidney or something. :wink:

My favorite anime. The series rocks way too much. Plus the HK set is actually pretty good.
