Don't remind me... this is supposed to be what I do for fun...
I'm starting to get some idea of why we haven't seen Shibo in such a long time.

He recognized this when he made his post and expected the ban.
If a member is "asking for it" then they should expect to be banned.

If a member feels a post made should result in a ban for a user then they should use the "Report Bad Post" button that can be found at the top of every post. Then a moderator will decide what to do from there.

There are many ways to respond to someone who is irritating you. Pick wichever one of them you want as long as it's done without attacking any of our members.

I don't consider BE a member, and I doubt Vicious does either. BE has asked for it, and I don't feel banning Vicious is fair at all, even if he did expect it.

This is the type of making up of rules that I don't like.
Once registered, a person is a member. There is no waiting period. They are immediately allowed in to participate as they see fit.
If someone is acting immature then you should make them aware of how a mature individual should behave.

I remember quite a while ago when Batz and the Talking Pie were having zany craziness all over the forum. They were easily as annoying as BE has been lately but those two have grown into respectable members of our forum. I like to give people that chance to grow rather than just throwing people out on their ears as soon as they get under my skin.

I'm totally against beating children up but babyeater0 needs someone (me) to beat some sense into him. He just doesn't think at all does he?! I admire Vicious for speaking his mind, even if it means a 3 day ban.

Actually he is still here on occasion but mostly only posts in R1 vs HK type threads.. Which we all know his stance on that.

Honestly it might take a lot more than that..Maybe being thrown through a wall would help...

I guess what amazes me here is that he's been gone for 24 hours and people are still talking about him.
That's some kind of galvanizing force that kid carries around. I kind of wonder what would be happening in here right now if I hadn't started enforcing a few niceties in the forum.

Screw it . . . - Cidien - 10-31-2004

I never made up a rule, I just said I don't respect BE as a member of the forums.

BE isn't going to grow into a respected poster, but if you think so you go right ahead and give him the chance. People keep talking about him because in half the threads on the forums he's been offending people with random stupidity. And not the funny kind r00ster likes, the annoying kind people wanna hit him for.

I agree with Zagatto that you have to remain consistant across the board with any banning that goes on, and as much as some of us think things that are bad from time to time obout others we have to keep a small sense of dignity and respect to fellow members on the board. BE definately took a whack at the hornets nest by starting something with Vicious. But we all remember elementry school its not the one who throws the first punch who gets caught

Those teachers who punish children without finding out the circumstances are fools. My niece got punished once for getting mad at a kid at her school (she's in kindergarten) who was physically abusing her. He would kick and bite her quite often and she got pissed and yelled at him and got in trouble for it.

Well, I told her if he ever touched her again to kick him as hard as she could between the legs, then tell the teacher to call me when she gets in trouble. =P Luckily the teacher didn't find out about it and he now leaves her alone. (also proving that violence isn't completely useless) Violence does have its uses.

We wouldn't have Kenshiro if not for violence.

Don't let Batz read that. Might be a wake up call for him when he reads he's finally respected (by some) :p He's quite proud of his rants some times.

As for the banning. I liked the forums more when there weren't any and we were allowed to rip into stupid posters. If it was uncalled for then that person also heard that. Kept everyone on their toes and it worked fine for a long time. Now I see bannes for stuff I didn't even notice. The difference between the new rules and the lac thereof before is to big. Banning is ok when someone only posts bad stuff about someone. When someone makes an argument and ends it with "idiot or stupid" I don't think a ban is right as long as the insult isn't the only reason for the post. Cidiens bans for example were to easy but I see you needed to set an example. Just my 2 cents.
