I do accounting for a property development firm. Keeps me in the green, but I actually dislike accounting quite a bit Sad

It's getting me through school and the company pays for 20% of my tuition so I'll probably stick it out another six months to a year. I'm hoping to move into feasibility analyst or some type of analysis position.

NO yours is not a Real job.. ;o)

I have a really shitty Job though..
Active Duty Air Force
Electrical Power Production

which translates into a grease monkey/bitch boy for the squadron.
;o)

I do too have a real job, Grease Monkey/Bitch Boy.

Active Duty Air Force
Readiness

Okay, it doesn't even sound like a real job, but I get paid just like everyone else. True, it's only a job in the Military, but it's appicable, in some aspects, in the outside market.

Wow, this turned into a pissing contest...you win, I can't write my name in the snow.

Schultz, you disappoint me. You are always so insistant that I don't have a real job. And now, it seems you have nothing to say. That's all right, I have the most rewarding job in the world, being a mom and being your wife.:p

I'm only 15, so I can't get a job, & I can't drive anyways, which sucks. The only work I can do is washing dishes, which means I get 5 bucks a week & my hands & nails peel off, or get out in the yard & make about 10 bucks & get a tan, which I've been meaning to do & might do tomarrow.

When I was 14, I got a job in a grocery stoer bagging groceries. I rode my bike for a half hour (literally up hill) to the place where I worked gfor about 6 months, and eventually got promoted to a stock clerk.

Moral of the story: If you are determined to get a job, you should be able to make sacrifices. I wasn't able to drive until I was 18, but still held 3 jobs before I was able to. In fact, my current job will be the only job I've ever needed to use my car to get to work. Otherwise, I walked, rode my bike or took the bus.

Well, we have to test for promotion. Schultz tested this year, hopefully he will make it. I, on the other hand, will not test until next year. I came into the AF much later than he did.

I was wondering who you were, since you called him 'bitch boy' and he didn't respond. I guess we'll have to be nice to you, as not to earn Schultz's wrath. Wink

I won't worry if I were you. I get no favors from him. I asked if I could have an avatar right off the bat and he told me that I have to have 50 posts first...Just like everyone else.

Work !!!!! - kakomu - 06-21-2003

I'm aware of the tests (none of the sergents or officers I've talked to actually told me what was on the tests). However, from what I've been told, you have to be in the service a certain amount of time (progressed to E-4 as well) before you can take the test. A seaman I was talking with told me he will be eligible to take it in October, so I was under the assumption there would be a time (and you know when) that you can take the test.

Also, are you in for Career, or gonna go to school afterwards?

Work !!!!! - Ka-Talliya - 06-21-2003

I won't be eligible for promotion until Next march. I put E-4 on a little too late to test this year.

I don't know yet. I'd like to be able to take some college courses now, but between the family and work, I haven't been able to. Personally, I like the benifits the AF has. My current job sucks the big one, but if I can retrain, I may go career. Of course, in the end, it's really up to Schultz.

Work !!!!! - kakomu - 06-21-2003

Do ROTC Wink

we have 2 or 3 guys who were E4 before hand. One will be a pilot (!), and the other one will be POC next Semester.

Work !!!!! - Atomic Orgasm - 06-21-2003

I got an interview at Abercrombie and Fitch or whatever the hell it's called. I hope I don't have a drug test or i'm screwed.

Work !!!!! - Lonely_monkey21 - 06-22-2003

Atomic, don't do it. Don't go to the darkside!!!

Working??? Jobs???

I've had one job or another for the last 18 years now.
Early jobs included my paper route and dishwashing.
Then I upgraded to retail (at least I think that was an upgrade).
Then I repaired cash registers followed by industrial control panel design.
Then I went insane for a few months and didn't have any jobs.
when I started working again I did day care for a bit followed by being a bouncer followed by being a chef.
Then I worked in a string of camera stores while getting my photography degree.
To finish my degree I had an internship at Chrysler for 6 months shooting pictures of crash tests and stuff (I wish I was still doing that for a living... that was way cool).
Then I spent the next few years moving around with my wife doing a string of different jobs from ditch digging to collections to working in a camera store.
Now I've settled down (after getting my computer certifications) and work in the steel industry taking care of quality control.
All told, I've worked 32 different jobs and never being unemployed for more than a month (except for the time where I lost my mind).
