One Piece has mega action and a great storyline. There is alot of anime out there that is better than Bebop.

Meh, Evangelion came close =) Trigun was a distant third, but I haven't seen anything else that compares. There may be other series that are more entertaining based on personal tastes, but in terms of cinematic technique, true humanistic insight, and tale construction, Bebop takes the cake. (At least in my own opinion as a film major ^^) I mean, I'll admit, I have a hell of a lot funner time watching Excel Saga than Bebop, but if I could have only ever seen one, I'd take Bebop in a second.
Of course, admittedly there is quite a bit out there that I haven't seen yet (One Piece for example), although I think I've hit most of the highlights.

yeah, I like to think that I have seen a lo of anime but I am still missing some big ones(fushigi yuugi for example).... well anyway.. try one piece you wont be sorry! :mrgreen:

I agree with Vance, Bebop has it all. As much as I liked some other series, they ran too long and the storylines become dull or repetitive. Bebop stopped at the right place and left me wanting more while still giving you a great ending. Not too many other anime series can say that. It is also one of the few anime that has everything. . . action, drama, comedy. As well as a great story, awesome animation, wonderful soundtrack, and likable characters. There aren't too many series that can claim to have all those ingredients. That's why Bebop is at the top of my list.

Oh yes, and of course that is the key. Bebop had an absolutely mind-blowing ending, something that seems to be extremely rare in anime.
Btw, what are your guys' opinions on the HK One Piece set? Is it as good as other FX titles (wasn't it FX?)

the FX is basically just a rip of the AV with better cases. ovcourse it cant match up to other titles because it isnt an R1 rip, but you really shouldnt worry. even ask Kakoi as well, the subs are completely understandable the whole time with only minor mistakes. audio sounds great. and video is a dvd rip(most of the time, although it does go into, although good, tv rip, but that is not until episode 80 some.

wierd fact:
did you know that laputa was never released onto the spanish market because it was the equivilent of saying "thewhore", just thought I would say that :mrgreen: )

they really arnt that bad (jeez, how many times am I going to have to say this?) I hate engrish too, and if it wasnt for Kakoi I probably wouldnt have gotten one piece at all.
do not worry, read the reviews, although people say that they are not the best, they also say that they are not that bad and in the end they tell you they enjoyed it and you should go and get it now.

Have you Bebop fans seen where Bebop came from yet? Just so you know it is Lupin the III. The creator Shinichiro Watanabe even admited to using some of it's style. Why do you think Spike legs are so long? He is modeled completely after Lupin (with updated style) same with Jet (Jigen) and Faye (Fujiko) these stories are very similar. Watch Lupin, and you'll see it is a better story that Cowboy Bebop stole (and did really well). There is always something better out there. Keep your eyes open, and you'll find it.

Vance the HK set of One Piece is great and a very good use of your money, but be careful this show makes addicts very fast. So watch at your own risk. :wink:
