what anime made you laugh hardest? there are some out there that are quite bizzare as well as being pieces of comedy genius. i found lupin the 3rd to be very funny as well as flcl in a very crazy way. the bizzareness of ranma 1/2 also warrents laughter and cowboy bebop does have its moments. what do you guys think?

1. Excel Saga(side splitting)
2. irresponsible captain tylor(TV not OVA)

there are others but these two are the only ones that made me really laugh unstopably, and then think about later and laugh again.

the captain tylor ova seems to be gettin left out quite a bit these days. the episode with the porn tape is class!

Goldenboy. Definitely Goldenboy. Stuff like Excel Saga and FLCL is not for everyone. But Goldenboy is basically adolescent male humor which will make any guy crack up.

funniest anime known to mankind? - OptimisticOx - 04-14-2003

yeah, I forgot about that, but I wouldnt really call it funny, just kind of hectic.

Not funny??? Breasts bouncing all over the place. The guy drooling everywhere and hugging every toilet he sees? I thought it was pretty damn funny.

funniest anime known to mankind? - Vicious - 04-14-2003

oops. my bad. Sorry OO. I can't believe I forgot about Azumanga also.

funniest anime known to mankind? - Vinny - 04-14-2003

Azumanga Daioh was hilarious. Also, while not in HK (yet. Rip the R1s, someone!!), Mahou Tsukai Tai had me laughing too. Jubei-Chan had me laughing alot too.

funniest anime known to mankind? - Buckets - 04-14-2003

I wish someone would do a R1 rip of Golden Boy. The English voice actor for Kentaro is so funny.

funniest anime known to mankind? - kakoi_sugoi_yama - 04-14-2003

Goldenboy
Excel Saga

Those two are funny. I'll think of more when I'm a little more on the ball. Big Grin

Yeah, Golden Boy was laugh out loud funny. Yeah Kentaro's english VA was hilarious "This is so educational" I didn't care much for Excel Saga, I loved FLCL but didnt think it was funny.

Azumanga Daioh is hilarious also

Excel Saga hands down. One five episode sitting made my face hurt I laughed so much. You really have to have a developed taste for witty satire and have to be able to stomach a lot of it rapid fire to appreciate this series though. Most definitely not for everyone.
