Anyone else play with fireworks today? A couple friend and I have been playing with them the last couple days. Yesterday we went through 1 pack of bottle rockets and a small pack of firecrackers. Today we went through a larger pack of firecrackers, two boxes of very large loud firecrackers, like 5 packs of some sparkle bomb things and five packs of bottle rockets lol.
Highlight of the night I think is when I was jokin' around then really did drop a bottle rocket right in the middle of us. I stepped on it and all was safe until my friend TJ realized his bottle rocket had been lit and dropped it. I then had an oh shit moment and let go of mine and they both went flying around us lol. We all were hit at least once by a bottle rocket. Danny was hit twice, one straight on with a rocket from me because he was being a dumbass. =P
Anyone else have fun tonight? Also, anyone else play with silver tail black cats? Those bottle rockets are so much better than regular ones.

That's all I buy of bottle Rockets anymore, the silver foxes, cause you can see them at night. Giving you a better chance of sighting in then.
yeah me and my dad went to the casino and they have a good fireworks show and we lit off some firecrackers roman candles screaming cats chinese flowers bottle rockets and other stuff tho i do remember one year some friends of mine got a hold of like 6 m 80's and 2 m 500's but thats another story and a kinda scary one at that :eek:

I shot off a bunch of silver black cat rockets. I would line them up around a pvc pipe so I had all 12 around the top edge. Then we had a blue flame gas torch so we could quickly light all the wicks at once and off they went.
I also shot off a bunch of these sweet mortar shell types called 'Rambo Kid'.
During the day we took a coffee can and a smaller tin can and punched a hole in the small can so we could stick a 'little dynamite' in the smaller can. Then put a couple inches of water in the coffee can, set the smaller can in the coffee can, light the fuse, and BOOM! the can goes flying like 30-40 feet in the air. Fun stuff.
It's fun to break the sticks off of the rockets while theyre still in the package twist all the fuses together light em and run. =P
unfortunatly i worked ;o( so i didn't play with any fireworks this year.
I miss playing with fireworks.
Before I was married I'd blow a couple of hundred dollars on things to blow up. I kind of regret some of my choices to blow up in my "blow things up" phase.
Did you know that it takes 4 bottle rockets to lift a Star Wars figure 10 feet into the air?
Did you know that if you shoot a bottle rocket over the hood of a police car while he is giving a driver a speeding ticket that he will stop giving out the speeding ticket just to give you a ticket and take away your entire stash of fireworks?
Did you know that if you have a fight with roman candles that you can get a scar if they hit you just right?
Did you know that a cherry bomb will indeed blow up a toilet?
Hrm... maybe it's a good thing that I haven't played with fireworks in a few years.

Did you know if you mixed White Phosphorus (belive thats what we used) with powdered suger to where its a fine mix and when you light it, it will be almost as bright as looking at the sun.. (and also melts the pavement that you lit it on)

I set off a ton of fireworks last night, almost didnt because it started to rain. I went to tennessee two years ago and got a good sale on them. I still had 2 1/2 boxes of morters last night (only one now). :p
I also set off some bottle rockets, screamers, black cat firecrackers, and the rest of the roman candles I had.

Yeah a buddy of mine threw a firecracker into a sink of water & it put small cracks all in it, but the sink was still completely usable...

Those have freaked me out ever since my partner on my crew at work blew his hand off with one :eek: .
yeah, m80s can be scary. They're essentially a quarter of a stick of dynamite.
As for blowing up plumbing... I was smart (stupid?) enough to keep it in the school so I didn't have to deal with the consequences at home. Glad I never got caught for that one.
