As I have set a decent limit, and the point is to denote your five favorites, I would very much appreciate not posting more that 6 songs (I guess I don?t mind ONE tie). Feel free to rant about why a song is so great, or just explain why you like each song. I?ll probably do that later.

5. Wish You Were Here-Incubus
4. What it?s like-Everlast
3. Self Esteem- Offspring
2. Rewrite-Asian Kung-Fu Generation
1. Believe-Disturbed
Ok, most of my friends make fun of my taste in music, so I tell them they can lick my balls.

5) oooh child- The Five Stair Steps
4) Didn't I blow your mind- The Delfonics
3) Don't you Cry- Guns and Roses
2) How do you want it- Tupac
1) Winds of Change- The Scorpions

I listen to anything though.
Kinda to hard to pick a favorite of all that I listen to so I'll list my favorites of different genres (which means you're getting what you asked for & I'm not getting a headache for it..)

Dir en Grey - Cage
Demented Are Go! - Transvestite Blues
Kims Teddy Bears - King Came From Mars
Eve 6 - Think Twice
Aqua - Doctor Jones
(before Rav asks, no Trio, cause it's impossible to pick one of them, although I guess as a 6th I'l say Alkaline Trio - anything they play 'cause it's all good).

Sorry, no way for me to put numbers, but I will go on about why they're so good Big Grin

"Cage" Other than the fact that the vocals are amazing, the bass solo stole my heart *blinks alot*
"Transvestite Blues" Personal humor, & Sparky's voice is excelent, in how he bounces it about coinsiding with the way he moves on stage. One line: "I don't care, if you think I'm queer." when a guy called him a queer he knocked the guy out and ran XD
"Think Twice" Personal value, & I love Eve 6's sound, & pentup sexual tention that's in most their other songs Big Grin

Holy Shit dude, I knew people would break the rule, but DAMN!

But I just posted the beginning in an attempt to restrain people; I knew it wouldn't work and will probably break my own rule soon.
what can i say i was bored and will do anything other than my Uni work Wink

oh and how could i forget

New Found Glory - Broken Sound (this gets me to tears 78% of the times)

and a shout out to RedHot Chillis Peppers (cant believe i missed em out my list the first time, Outkast)

My taste in music is so messed up, I have one CD that goes from "Rocks" to The Chocobo mix, to Madonna for crying out loud ;.; (theres weirder, but lets not get into that)

Yea I know. I could have posted this topic a couple of days ago, but I wasn?t sure about my choices. So I ended up going through my 500 plus MP3's and 50+ albums while writing my research essay (marking off all the songs I skipped). I have a long list of the finalists, but when it came down to it, all of the songs I chose are ether powerful or just mean something to me.

For instance, I heard Self Esteem five minuets after walking in on my last girlfriend cheating on me Sad (with her room mates boyfriend, boy that was a fucking mess) and it inspired me to say "Fuck that bitch, I'm not gonna feel bad over her. " Of course then I went and cried a lot on the rock I go to think on but I always think about that song and I'm glad I'm not that guy.

On the other songs I picked, Rewrite just exemplifies why I am allowed to like J-Rock; even friends who hate Japanese culture and make fun of me for liking it think that it is a good song. Wish You Were Here is a song that really inspires me to write heart-wrenching scenes in my stories, like when the here selflessly dies to save others (I?m not evil, but almost all my heroes die for some reason). What its Like is one of those songs that just makes you look at yourself before you judge others; mighty powerful words and meaning in that song. Then there is Believe, Disturbed is my favorite group and Believe is just a haunting chant of authority and clout.
