So when you get right down to it they are mostly of the same quality, with the exception of Mac which many people tend not to lick. Thats good to know. Ive also come accross a company called MI, anyone know anything about them. Also, are AV, FX, MI, Mac; short for anything or is that their name.

Manga Animation Cartoon and Manga International are MAC/MI it says right on there sites. AV if anything probally stands for Animated Video/Anime Video or something like that and FX is just the first inital of it's owner with an X I guess.
Thanks for the info. So they have website? Please let me know the addresses if you dont mind. Thanks

Intl Fex Ex shipping is not cheap you know and adds on a good chunk to their basic price. Both weight-wise and size-wise they make sense for them.
I doubt box size ranks that high among the vast majority of buyers of this kind of product.
MI are great. Not too sure about R1 ripped stuff but they make awsome sets that use fansub scripts... There Maison Ikkoku set is THE best one around... I heard VIZ aren't finishing the R1s though is that true? Guess the MI set just got better!

Maybe not -- the March "Previews" magazine (from Diamond Comics) has a listing for set 5 of Ikkoku, due out in May.
Of course, if Viz doesn't finish the DVD series, it woudn't be the first time they chickened out and cheated Ikkoku fans (remember the VHS tapes?).

Yeh I have the dubbed VHS in my loft. How many eps did they get through in the end? Isnt that enought to finish 5 sets with what they have then end it or is it probably about 4? How many sets are they due? I have VIZ set 3 and im getting the first 2 to replace my FX set in a few weeks. Set 4 and onwards are only available from their store and rightstuff aren't they?
