I've been hearing people go on about how great Kenshin is for a long time and finally gotten around to watching it.
When does it start to get good?

I'm up to episode five so far and find it mildly entertaining.
Does it get better?

There are lots of series that I've seen where I can't wait to see the next episode but Kenshin just isn't one of them. I found the same thing with Ranma 1/2. Maybe this style of anime just doesn't do anything for me.

I'll keep watching an episode or two per night and see how I feel about it.
I enjoyed the episodes at about ten. But really, it picks up about episode 24, when the Kyoto Arc begins. It gets better, trsut me.
Unfortunately the morons in charge decided not to animate the best part of the Story. Manga Volumes 18-28 Jinchuu Arc
I'm up to episode 12. Very entertaining. The show will suck if you watch crappy HK DVDs. Get the good translations.
Rurouni Kenshin is a series, I've been wanted to get into, but the only way I can watch it is to get HK. And I wanted to know if the HK sets are worth it?
They are good enough from what I hear. Check out the reviews.
If I blow all my cash on a ps2 I'll probably get MI Vol.s 1 & 2 for x-mas.
Good to plan your spending. Though I'm splurging at Best Buy today simply because I'm going there.
Kenshin TV season 2, the Kyoto Arc, is quite simply the best anime I've seen. Stick with it, Zagatto. It'll pay off. And remember everything you're seeing now because it'll all connect and come to an incredible climax at the end of season 2. Trust me. =)
Shibo head to Best Buy. I bought His and Her Circumstances Vol.1 and Excel Saga Vol.2 for about $35. Sweet deal folks!!!!
