I remember the old days of BBS's. I was so proud of what I could get with my little old 300 baud modem. The idea that I would be connecting some day at 56,000 baud and complaining about a slow connection would have been impossible.

I didn't think you were included in the baby-boomers... my dad is a decade older than you and I consider him to be part of the baby boom. I guess he could have been on the leading edge of that boom and you could have been the trailing edge...
