HI All,

I was wondering if anyone has purchased this set. Is it the same as the R1 uncut/uncensored one that is being advertised in Best Buy (in a Blue box with silver stars and figures). If so, what is uncut and uncensored in it?

Max...
I do know that the US version had a TON of episodes that were many episodes chopped together. So the series we got was much shorter than the real one. Oh and when the scouts transform they're not supposed to be all rainbowy when they are spinning. Wink
I have a friend who just recently broke down and confessed that in like 7th grade he used to download the Sailor Moon episodes and watched them just to see those transformations. He doesn't talk to many people in school, and most people there think he is crazy/hardcore. Outside of school, he's a good friend though.
Just buy the damn R1's from deepdiscountdvd.com. I believe they're the ones who had them for $40 a piece.
read the reivews before u buy them i swear some of the epsoides in the one i got are mono the subs were excellent Big Grin

You didn't know? Some of the sites have had a price drop in them recently. Rightstuf had them for $50 a piece last week. Rumor is that the US license might be expiring at the end of March. So you won't be seeing anymore R1 Sailor Moons for awhile. This is what ADV has posted on their website:

ADV Films today announced that the first 86 episodes of the original Sailor Moon television series will no longer be available in the U.S. on home video after April 1, 2004. Although the response of the fans and sales of this video series in both the dubbed- and uncut-subtitled format have been tremendously successful, the creators of the program have decided against continuing the availability of the home video in the U.S. at this time. All episodes released under ADV Films will remain available for sale in retail outlets and via the company website.
did someone say sailor moon porn?

So....all the episodes currently released are going to still be available? Or what?

I'm assuming until they run out of the batch that they already have. I'm sure in a few months or whenever they run out, you won't be able to get them anymore.
Wow...the reasoning behind something like that just....blows my mind.
Toei's always been a pain in the ass to deal with.

The price at Best Buy Canada is $140CAN per season which is closer to $110US.

I heard that an episode was removed from the second R1 set. I don't remember where I heard this, but I think more than one place has said that this is true.
