I was wondering if anyone had links to other anime stores.
I found
http://www.cookiejarvideo.com
They sell a ton of anime that is not here, they even have a link here.
I also found
http://www.discount-anime.com
but they are rather expensive.
and there is always ebay
but shipping is always like 15 or 12 bucks.
I am looking for a anime store that sells the Dragonball dvds for cheap. The one when goku is a boy.
Thx

You won't find any of the US Shops really carring them.. Since funimation send a C&D letter to them.. Also you won't find a Perfect Collection because Funimation hasn't released it all the way on DVD yet.. Best bet is to try looking on Ebay for VCD's and such..
I don't know about Dragonball, but I have always been very very happy with
http://www.sundevildvd.com 's service, and the prices are pretty good.
I also am looking for some more store reccomendations, particularly one just like
http://www.discountanimedvd.com (I love buying pocky and manga, and soundtracks are a plus) but with cheaper DVDs, preferably.

What i have always hated about discountanimedvd is that they Lie about prices somewhat by using the Retail Price of R1 dvd's when they are selling HK dvd's.. to make them look even cheaper.. I just always thought of that as False Advertising.. But yea Pocky Rules.. hehe how much do you pay for it on sites?
Cookiejar still has the dragonball dvd's on their list.
I can safely say that here and Cookiejar are the shops with the best reputation. On other forums there are some negative posts about other shops (although there are a lot of new ones which have popped up lately) but I have never read a complaint about here or cookiejar.
I ordered once from Sundevildvd but it took over a week to ship my products which tells me that they do not have everything listed in stock.
I could list about 30 other shops but I don't think JJ would appreciate that and you can get everything you want between here, CJV and e-bay.
If you want shop reviews, stop by the
http://www.Arcticnightfall.com HKDVD discussion forums. Its the largest community about HKDVD's and the people on there know everything there is to know about these dvd's. There also are some shop owners who stop by regularly.

Their prices used to be way higher than anyone elses. They've just recently come down to about the same level as the competition. JJ's prices are still lower than theirs though.
I don't like the fact that on the forums, they don't like to admit that what they are selling are bootlegs and not really legit. I hate it when people try and trick their customers. Most of us know what's going on anyways, but there's always some newbie that could get tricked into buying stuff from them thinking it's legit R1 releases at bargain basement prices.
Not to mention the fact that if anyone was to start this thread there, it would get locked so fast and references to any other sites like IA or CJV would get deleted. If their prices and service are so good, what are they afraid of?
DiscountDVD does have that damn habit of putting their 'retail' at something around $30, so I don't really buy DVDs from them (I got Pumpking Pocky and Kindaichi manga, which had a good sale on them) but I like their soundtrack selection, and how they sell more then DVDs so I'm not shopping around more then one site where shipping costs more then to pay the extra few bucks.
I love SundevilDVD since I'm soooo close to where they are located, so if I pay through Paypal I can have the DVDs in one day, or two. Plus, I even won some free DVDs from them, and their specials can be very good.
No experience with other stores, I often use eBay, but hey... I'd like to find a stable one, but this site hasn't gotten a single one of my requests I asked for. - -
cookiejarvideo does look like a good one though.

Well it all depends on how it was encoded..If someone found some decent sources to do the vcd's then it wouldn't be bad.. If you want PM me and i can maybe hook you up with a few of them..
I've seen the Realmedia encodes (have a few) and they aren't that bad, considering how RARE the sources would be for them.
Side note: order from Discount Anime DVD came in today, VERY VERY good packaging, great service. I reccomend that Pumpkin Pocky highly.
Chances are, VCDs will be just as crappy as RM's, but you can give it a shot, or ask for screenshots from the seller/person with them.
jinkie.com is the best import anime site I have found, they have lots of stuff and great prices.
http://www.miktoys.com has a policy of $4.99 per disc, so there's some MASSIVE savings going on. I'm picking up a bunch of stuff from my to-buy list from there.
Bad thing: Very very very few (actually I haven't found one) perfect collections, actually I haven't found one, and not THAT extensive of an archive, but they have the titles I wanted and I'm happy.
Mm.... like a permanent half off sale. Great shipping prices too, considering it's from Hong Kong (I think)
Any places selling Live Action DVDs? Im especially looking for two dramas I saw in the past two years on KBS. "So, This Is Love" and "To Be With You". True, they were Korean, but I enjoyed every moment of them, and have been looking on and off for a little over a year now. Links to live action anime would be appreciated as well.
Those prices? I doubt theyre HK.
