With over 300 TV episodes dating back to 1992, I'm a bit puzzled as to why this series is not on dvd. I've seen the movie and IMHO its just ok - no comparison to the TV series. I would appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on this issue and if anyone knows of plans to release this series on dvd. Thanks in advance.
I don't know about Japan, but there are all-region DVDs out in Korea (yes, they're licensed), plus VCDs in Hong Kong (ditto); unfortunately, none of those have English subs, or Japanese dialogue -- just the local language.
Maybe SOMEONE will put out DVDs of this series soon, considering that it is now being seen on Fox Kids in Britain and Latin America.
I'm interested in the TV series myself -- I really enjoyed the manga version.
Even in Japan they do not release them all. They do collections and just select the best episodes for release on dvd.
