That is a tough question. For me it's a tie between "LAPUTA: Castle in the Sky" and "GAOGAIGAR".
I'd like to give an honorable mention to the series "Force Five": this is what they called Shogun warriors when they aired on cable back in '82.
For alot of us this was our first exposure to "japanimation" like DANGARD ACE and GRANDIZER (besides programs like Battle of the Planets and StarBlazers).

Well I think I will go with a series instead of a movie little more enjoyment that way.... and that will be Ranma 1/2
Crap. That reminds me, Project AKO! Now THERE is where I started on anime (That and Sailor Moon) and it definately has its enjoyable moments.
