My dad added onto that saying "moderation in moderation"
"Life is too serious to be taken seriously"
Still living my life by this motto
"The only strangers in life are the ones you don't talk to."
"Don't take life so seriously, you won't get out alive."
"Kiss is like the spiders web, soon leads to undoing of fly."

My cousin used to tell me that when I had a boyfriend.

I really like that and I'm likely to use it myself (probably uncredited as well...)

here's another from my dad...
C'est la vie
C'est la guerre
C'est la pomm de terre

it translates into
That's life
That's war
That's a potato

but I'm not really sure what it means but if you start with C'est la vie around my dad... that's what you're going to get.
Another one my dad used to say all the time is "That's as funny as a rubber crutch."

Which I always assumed to mean it wasn't funny.
Then, a few years ago, I tried visualizing what would happen if you gave a rubber crutch to somebody who needed a crutch. And I realized that it is actually funny. Mean but funny.
"Man with feet of Grass runs like feather."`Cordero (I think that's his name), who stole it from an old dubbed chinese movie. I've never found use for, but it's one of the many wise words he spits out during class, strange thing is it's in math class.
I'll have to start writing down his words of wisdom because most of them are funny.
"it's better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all"

It's old and everyone's heard it, but it still serves it's purpose.
Any more from our senpai?(n or m or am i totally wrong).
